Sam is a titled Sports Physiotherapist with 20 years of experience. He obtained a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with honors from the University of Melbourne in 2001 and went on to complete a Masters of Sports Physiotherapy at La Trobe University in 2015.
Sam has gained a wealth of experience throughout his career in private practice and working with sporting teams. Sam’s sports physio experience is primarily with soccer, running and football, having worked with athletes at all levels of these sports.
Sam’s main area of expertise is the treatment of exercise related lower limb injuries, back pain and hip pain. His approach to treatment is evidence based and involves different modalities including manual therapy, resistance training, Clinical Pilates, biomechanical assessment and correction.
Over the years Sam has participated in a number of sports and has a passion for physical activity. He has 30 years of experience in the gym with resistance training. Sam played lacrosse competitively when he was younger but now focuses on trail running. He has completed a number of ultramarathons from 50km to 100km distance.
